Scenic Beauty Award
Citizens for a Scenic Wisconsin established a Scenic Beauty Award program in 2006. The purpose is to recognize those people and organizations who preserve and protect the special scenic places that make Wisconsin such a wonderful place to live, work and visit. There were twelve awards in 2008, five in 2007 and four in 2006.
The following criteria will be used in deciding awards, but nominees do not have to meet all four criteria:
To nominate a special place in Wisconsin for a Scenic Beauty Award, please complete and return the Nomination Form or send a letter:
Please include good quality digital photos (suitable for printing) with your nomination as well as any links to Internet sites that describe or show more about the location and the program. Before and after photos are often helpful.
If our awards committee is not familiar with the location and the program, we may arrange for a personal visit to meet with the people and survey the special nature of the nominated place.
Also, please include the contact info for any local media that you want us to notify of the award.
Please note:
Unless you request to remain anonymous, you will be noted as the nominator.
The deadline for nominations is August 1!
We will announce the winners and publicize them in press releases and our fall newsletter. We will also arrange a suitable presentation ceremony with each winner.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Citizens for a Scenic Wisconsin. Revised November 10, 2008 |
